Total budget:
$7,800 CDN Since the nutrition of the region is very poor – mainly corn and beans, occasionally green beans, squashes and herbs, with goat or chicken eaten only on festive occasions – a group of people were interested in raising rabbits to improve their nutrition. They were given a workshop on caring for the rabbits. Rabbits are also useful for their skins and their droppings, which can be used for organic fertilizer. In addition to helping the people get started in this project, the Filipense Sisters provided a course on spirituality and a workshop on human rights.
