Start year:
2008

The Filipense Sisters Missionaries of Education have found that due to a poor diet mainly consisting of beans, corn and pumpkins the families of Xalpitzahuac suffer from such illnesses as tuberculosis, typhoid, parasites and scabies. This project offers weekly classes on nutrition, hygiene, natural medicine, and ways to improve their housing. It has been so successful that a kitchen is needed for preparation and for storage of utensils and groceries. In addition to supporting the classes, Mission Mexico funds will provide materials for the basic structure, while the women will contribute the adobe and their husbands will do the construction work.
