The Filipenses Missionaries help the people recover their traditional healing practices and medicines, teach them the need for personal cleanliness, keeping their house clean, and other methods of preventing illness, and take critically ill patients to a doctor or the hospital. They also train health promoters to do this work. For most people in this village, no other medical care is available.
