The co-op at Tecoyo chose to grow gladiolas because they are one of the most used flowers in the region for fiestas, religious events, funerals, etc. A letter from the group thanked “all the people of the Catholic Communities of Canada who are collaborating and helping our group of men and women who wish to improve their living conditions.”
